The "God Box" on I.I.T. Campus Chicago 2007

The "Robert F. Carr Memorial chapel at the I.I.T. camppus is the only church building that Mies Van der Rohe ever build. It is completed in 1952 and among all the buildings that Van Der Rohe designed for the I.I. T. campus, the most modest of all. However the chapel has an 'austere monastic elegance', it is called the 'godbox' for its exreme simplicity and lack of decoration.
