A Dreamed Museum 2009

The photographs are published with an essay by Hans Den Hartog Jager, for the Dutch cultural magazine "Hollands Diep".

A hand holds up a reproduction of an artwork in one of the dismantled galleries of the Stedelijk Museum. Close observation of the image will show that the gallery itself is actually a photographed image and the hand is holding up the reproduction in front of a photograph. The hand tilts the artwork as if it is placing the art inside the gallery.

This way, the works of art are part of an installation that exists on the photograph only.
